Joe Callahan - Founder & CTO

Joe Callahan founded Simple Solar in 1998 with the singular mission to simplify the application of sustainable energy and appropriate technology in mainstream commercial and residential settings and to deliver clean, affordable and reliable energy to communities all over the world.  Joe has translated this vision into one of the nation’s leading solar-electric engineering and integration firms.  Mr. Callahan has been trained in both Electrical and Architectural Engineering, energy management, is an active member  in SEIA/COSEIA, and holds the coveted NABCEP certification pertaining to excellence in solar installations.  In addition to his passion for solar energy, Mr. Callahan has been recognized many times over for his innovation and leadership in applying renewable concepts to building and is currently leading several solar industry standardization initiatives.
